Students enrolled in the Teacher U at Hunter College program pursue a master’s degree in education at Hunter College while serving as full-time teachers in New York City public schools. Enrolled teachers serve in New York City’s district and charter schools, as well as a small number of schools in New Jersey, Connecticut, and other districts in New York State. Teacher U is designed for novice teachers (0-2 years experience) teaching in elementary and middle schools, but also serves some more seasoned teachers.
